IntroductionThis online experience is designed to help you develop an understanding of the eMINTS Instructional Model. Following the training, you should be prepared to manage your eMINTS classroom and implement elements of Design Through Inquiry in your classroom. In an eMINTS classroom that is based on constructivism, learners do not passively take in information but have the opportunity to develop knowledge by actively engaging in activities and experiences through social interaction and collaboration, followed by reflection. In this manner, learners actively create knowledge.
Although this Building an eMINTS Foundation training covers only a fraction of what the Year 1 & 2 professional development program contained, it will provide you with a foundational understanding of eMINTS principles, as well as the Design Through Inquiry teaching approach. By completing the training, you will be prepared to join your cohort as members continue to work together planning and implementing design-focused, interdisciplinary learning experiences with students. |
